Found an easy way to check if your tailshafts bent. remove 1 wheel hub flange and put the transfer in neutral. Mines bent a bit over 10mm (deflection), i guess thats where 1 of the vibrations is coming from. Can anyone reccomend a tailshaft mob in sydney area that can re tube and balance it? I Might go for a 10mm wall this time.

I've got a couple of shafts in there at the moment. Metropolitan are excellent to deal with and provide a same day service, but they can be expensive.

10mm wall! Is this for the Lockless? If not, the heavier the prop the more it will vibrate. I've noticed this just changing from LR uni's to 1310's.
You might need to try Blackwoods for the material.![]()

Sounds like he might need to steal it from a drilling rig!

If the shafts not kinked, a good driveshaft shop should be able to straighten and rebalance it without retubing.
My local shop in QLD charges $65 to straighten and rebalance a shaft. For some reason, Land Rover shafts seem easy to bend...........
