Finaly got around to fitting the Airbag overide kit on my 96 HSE Rangie.
Quite a simple job, kit from airbagman comes with everthing you need, Locate each air bag line coming from the valve block and cut them back far enough to get the fittings in. Assemble valves and tap, then connect the push to connect airlines. I drilled mounting points for my 4 valves in the Cruise Control bracket for easy access.
Once done check system for leaks.
Now I can isolate each bag and pump it manually in case of compressor or computer failure.
Nice one.
You can also build one of these quite easily. Its a manual EAS controller which allows you to bypass the ECU and control the actual compressor and air bags.
I built this last week and used it on the weekend when I took the EAS apart to rebuild the valve block and compressor overhaul.

Neat Job, Very Comprehensive !! Where did you fit the panel ?
The Airbag man kit sells for $295.00 can get from any Opposite Lock Store.
I will post some pics when I can work it out !
Its not a permanent fixture. Its a hand held unit that connects to the ECU connector when required.
I basically followed instructions provided on the Rangerovers.net forum.
I used an RS-232 cable and and joined the necessary wires to the ECU connector so all I have to do is plug it into the DB25 connector and its ready to go.
Just a more robust way of using the "jumpers" method to control the EAS

You can't just post a picture like that without all the gory details!!
Some of us older ones have hearts that need to treated kindly, too much excitement can be dangerous!
It is quite well documented that if required you can bypass the EAS ECU by disconnecting the ECU and using jumper wires betweeen specific pins you will activate certain functions of the air suspension.
People a lot cleverer than me worked all of this out.
What i have done is enhanced the concept and built a series of switches to do the exact same thing. I soldered the corresponding wires to the back of the pins on the ecu connector and have a plug in between the switch box and the ECU. That way it just plugs in without having to fiddle about with wires. Who knows where you will be or what you will be doing when you really need it !!
Then mount it into a pretty box and voila - for $30 you have a get out of jail free card ....... maybe.
Here's another picture of it finished and connected...
