I don't understand why you went all the way to Melbourne to get the chip when it was available just up the road.
I have to agree the DP chip is VERY good at improving the drivability of the TD5.
The price is a long way less than the Tunit as well
Also no increase in fuel consumption.

Forgive me fellas........but I just can 't help asking why you haven't done a search and come to the realisation that we have a bloke here on AULRO that not only upgrades a TD5 - he drives them also.
Checkout Tombraider before you fall for all the other gizmos.![]()

I need my car every day, the boys at Les Richmond did the whole changeover in 20 mins.
Now if I lived in Qld..... I coud have saved a couple of hundred bucks.![]()

So hi all.
Getting my 2000 td5 auto today. Was looking at the DPChip. Will be towing a 2400 kg caravan. Is the chip worth it for this case you think?
Will also be doing a little off-roading but only simple stuff as it's my first 4x4.
Thanks
Scott
No its not worth it...
For towing a 2400kg Caravan..... Hmm lets see....
1) Trans Cooler upgrade
2) Low Coolant sensor (see 5)
3) ECU upgrade
4) EGR removal
5) EMS system (can use this for item 2 also)
6) Silicon Intercooler hoses
7) centre muffler removal
8) D2a or aftermarket Intercooler
