    Load of hot Air!

    Hi all
Could anyone help me with a problem on a mates car? It is a 2003 Discovery TD5.

We went for a drive recently and i noticed it was very warm in the cabin of the disco, i mentioned this to my friend, who has only very recently purchased this car and he said it is always like that. As he has an aversion to air-conditioning and is also a tight ass so he wouldn't switch it on. Further investigation by me, found hot air to be blowing out of the demister vents! Is this normal? or just some weird feature on the discovery. Not to mention that the climate control was no even on.

Any ideas would be great. as next time i shall have to sit in his car in my underwear!

    Regard
    Blake

Need to know what the settings are

Normally if you set it to auto - (and in case of the tightarsed mate) on ecconomy, and then the temp for each side.

What is it set on now

If I were you I would take my underwear, as it is probably expensive to fix, and your mate doesn't care and will not listen.

Our 2001 Discovery always blows hot air into the cabin if the air con isn't on. It's more of a draft than a fan blowing.

Can't work out where it comes from so we always leave the air con on set at 22 deg.
