Thread: Hot Flandie

Mrs Rangie has an 01 V6 Flandie....( sniggering will be ignored.) , now, 60k's, perfect service history, runs great, has given no problems.

At the moment, it's getting hot, it only goes between Manly and North Sydney so barely a chance to get warm, the temp gauge stay's in normal range, once at normal level, it dos'nt get any higher, however the fan is coming on by the time she gets to work, and the engine smells hot.
It uses no water at all, any idea's?, thermostat knackered?

On the basis of what you have said I do not see what the problem is - water level OK, temp gauage in the green, fan coming on (does run with the A/c), engine seems hot - purely subjective.

If you are really concerned - I suggest it be checked over by a cooling expert.
