    320 Holley on 186 powered 2A LWB

Thinking of replacing the standard stromberg with one of these, I have been offered one with the correct manifold, and adapter to suit the impco 300 mixer I am using.
Looks like it would be resonably easy to fit.
Anyone have experience with this setup, and know if it would give any noticable performance gain?
    Mostly running on LPG.
    Cheers
    David.

I used to run a 350 Holley on a 202 red motor and it went well. Holley's are easy to work on and get parts for. From my experience - you will get better performance and economy. Just make sure you get your jets right.

Learnt in a 2a with 186 and 350 holley, also on gas. Ran really well but you need to be very diligent with running it on petrol periodically, otherwise the diaphram in the carby will leak like a sieve.

Also if your going to run it on petrol off road you will need to mod the float bowl so when on an up hill slope it dosent pump fuel into the ventri via the bowl breather i fixed mine on the V8 by plugging the original breather tube and drilling a hole in the center of the fuel bowl and fitted a tube to it which requires a mod to the air cleaner so a small hose can be attached to the new breather tube i cut out a section of the air cleaner housing and run the small rubber tube back in behind the ventri inside the air cleaner and i have no more troubels on slopes in all directions as the bowl vent is now in the dead center of the top of the fuel bowl

If running a Holley on gas you also need a neoprene float, the gas will ice up a brass one and collapse it.

Thanks for the info guys, I'll give it a go, I'm thinking the Holley might be good on gas as it has a diaphram accelerator pump, where the stromberg has a leather piston which dries out and dosn't work after running on gas for a while.
