Another stupid question.
Are the rear shocks on a Disco ( ser 1 late model) the same as the shocks on a late model series.
I think I can get some good priced ones!
(and no matt I am not going to take parts off it before you pick it up)

I'm pretty certain the shock mounts are differnt on the series vehicles too. As Baz says I would imagine they'd be shorter plush the rating will be different due to the inbuilt resistance in a leaf spring.
If you mean late model Series one a disco compared to early series one disco, I'm pretty sure they are both the same.

nope series rovers use eye to eye shockies all the way round and to the best of my knowlodge on the coilers its eye to needle on the rear and needle to needle in the towers up front....

so ,much for my great plan, just did the fronts,
pin and pin and wouldn;t undo, thankfully the angle qrinder worked. L/R production line must had been strong that day.
just looked at the rear, didn;t even notice the botton a pin,
only noticed the eye on top.
back to plan b.
