The answer is, yes, it could be cracked, although seal failure is much more likely. In view of the other evidence of impact, however, I would be inclined to investigate it with rather more urgency than is usual for an oil leak on a Landrover.

Doing the shocks today, I noticed oil dribbling down the inside of the RH Front disk. viscosity and smell like swivel hub oil.
From the drawings in my manual, it looks like the oil would have to either leak from the stub axle flange or make it's way through 2 seals via the wheel bearings to come down the back of the disc like that.
I am concerned though.
Diablo came with a badly dinged alloy as a spare. the RH front mud flap is ripped of and the RH trailing arm has had a noticeable boink. Could the stub axle be cracked?
