    clutch pedal

    Hi guys
    couple of days now when i press the clutch pedal i get
    this horrible noise (like opening an old door..) this happens when the pedal is moving.
    any idea ?

    Sounds like it could be the piviot gone dry. Or a spring rubbing....

    Probably the pivot is dry. My 110 has a grease nipple on the pivot, but I don't think that Defenders have. You should be able to get some light oil onto it by removing the cover on top of the pedal box.

    Yeah mine does it too every now and then, come to think of it every rover I've ever owned has done the same. Spray a bit of wd40 or other light oil on swivel point, whilst moving the peddle up and down. Should help.

    Could also be the thrust bearing.
