If the problem is electrical, I believe the switch bit can be replaced without removing the lock bit.

Hi All
Can anyone tell me how to unbolt the whole steering lock/ignition barrel from the steering column.
I know it is made theif proof so it looks like some or other round cap over the bolt/allen key head.
Before I destroy the whole thing I thought I had better ask.
I noticed my volt meter is reading a bit low even though I have 14V at the battery and 11V inside. I think I have a problem on my ignition switch. Testing resistance of all my earths to the battery -'ve give 0 ohms so I assume the connection fault is on the positive.
Thanks Guys

Had to drill the bolts out of the barrel so I could get access to the small screw on the ignition switch.
The spares guy was surprised to see this type of ignition on a series vehicle and he is convinced mine is a UK import complete as it has heater system, tapped breather recovery etc. which are not normaly seen in Africa.
He promply hit me for R400 for lukas part. Damn
Anyway, hope this solves the voltage problems I have.
