Maybe do a search this topic has been dicussed ad infinitum on this forum.
Nothing wrong with the Safari - I have has one on for 4 years no problems.
You can expect around $600 fitted at a LR specialist place.
Just wondering if people have a prefered brand of snorkel for a 97 TDI Disco and what I should be expecting to pay for one and the expected fitting costs.
Looking at getting a safari at this stage unless anyone has a reason not to.
Thanks
Andrew

You can get them on ebay at the moment for $325 plus delivery if you want to fit it yourself.

The ones on ebay are Airflow not Safari and for nearly half the price i would go with the Airflow- i got my Safari for $300 to my door.
MY08 TDV6 SE D3- permagrin ooh yeah
2004 Jayco Freedom tin tent
1998 Triumph Daytona T595
1974 VW Kombi bus
1958 Holden FC special sedan
I was reading through past posts on this and there was some people on here who bought snorkels for around the $200 mark. I am inetested in one at that price for sure! Else, make your own up.
I bought an Airflow and fitted it to my Disco TD5 yesterday. Very happy with the price at $295 but pretty hard to fit it and get it right. I had to fab up an oval extension to add on to the moulded piece that goes inside the guard to ensure a watertight join with the existing pipework from the airbox. I'm not convinced it is 100% watertight even now.
The template and instructions are not real flash either, but at $295 i can't complain.
Mines an Airflow and seems to work well, we have smoke bombed it to see if it is air tight and it is but I didnt fit it and I dont know how hard they are to fit.
Ive fitted an 80 series and a Pootrol one before and it wasnt brain surgery but did take a fair bit of time to get them right.
