    buzzing noise from rhr

Anyone come across a whirring/buzzing noise from the rhr 1/4 panel, near the fuel door, of their series 1 discos when you turn the engine off after a drive? the noise lasts a couple of minutes.......... is this normal?

It vents through a spring loaded valve. It does buzz when venting.

I know you said it isn't the fuel pump but out of curiosity do you have underfloor LPG tanks with the small petrol tank in the quarter panel?

I don't here any buzzing from my quarter panel. Would/should the buzzing change from when the petrol tank is near empty and when it is full?

I don't have a Disco but I have used 2 of these valves on my 120 litre tank in my Morris.

They only seem to vent when the tank is near empty as it's the fumes that expand rather than the fuel.
On a hot day they start buzzing in stereo .
