    Diesel extractors?

Yep, here is a question for the diesel mechanics out there.

Just as a curiosity, but what the hell, if it's feasible, I'll do it.

Has anybody ever had a go at fitting extractors to a diesel engine?

I don't particularly like turbo charged engines, but I have an idea, involving the gear drive supercharger from the V6 Commodore, and my 2.8 Ltr Daihatsu engine.
If you push gas in, you have to get it out fast as well. That means extractors.

So, does anybody have any ideas?
Is it even possible to do?

N/A Diesels benefit from extractors as petrols do.
A mate hase extractors on his HZJ 4.2 diesel Landcruiser ute,it also has a pump tweak.
It goes really well, much more driveable than any other tojo 4.2 Ive driven.

Beautiful Andy, thank you very much.

That's all the incentive I need.

Hand-crafted custom built tuned length extractors, with the exhaust brake re-fitted behind, dumping into a hand-built custom full flow exhaust, and a "bad boy" big muffler at the end. Noice.

My Isuzu County had extractors fitted by the previous owner. He claimed they did make an improvement.

I've cracked exhaust manifolds in the past when doing water crossings. I like extractors as they are typically not cast.

Do you know your signature just fell over?

    There it goes again!

I don't think a great deal of the so called "standards", so I shall make my own, out of nice sturdy black steel. Maybe with the hotter parts made of steam\amonia pipe.
I just happen to have some lying beside the shed about the right diameter.
I already have the back end sorted, nice big 3 inch pipe from a hot rod F100, and check this bad boy for a muffler.

3 inch in and 4 inch out.
