Thread: D110 - Electric Brake Controller locations?

Mine sits under the dash just left of centre. I can still use it without reaching.

At the moment mine is underneath the steering column and as positions go it sux badly.

My mate who is a caravaner told me a good trick, he puts his somewhere in the centre of the vehicle where the passenger can reach it also.

That way if he falls asleep or something happens to him, the passenger at least has a chance of engaging the brakes on the trailer to slow the down.

When I reposition it I will be putting it somewhere more towards the centre, maybe in front of the drivers-side vents? Dunno yet, still thinking...

I have a Hayes/Hayman-Reece one mounted vertically on the front of the cubby box.
Easy to adjust settings there and manually over-ride, easy to wire.

Which reminds me, I need anther one as this one flew to bits one day (or at least the button did ; )

Mine sits on the right hand side of the transmission tunnel

Mine is also under Air-con controlls. Out of the way and works fine.

RHS of cubby box, by my left thigh. Out of the way and easy to adjust.

This is where I thought would be the best bet - just didnt want to install it there and then not be able to use all the functions.
