I replaced all the rotors and pads on the disco last week, used RDA rotors at around $50 each (aussie made) and Lucus pads (TRW) as the bendix i had on it were useless, couldn't cope with heat and squeled like a pig after a little wear. These were recommended to me from the owner of Better Brakes in Cheltnham, said they will cope a lot better with heat and brake fade.:)
I fitted the DBA 'Standard' series, slotted rotors front and rear and Bendix 4WD Pads all round on my 1999 Defender TD5.Quote:

I ended up replacing all the hub bearings and seals.
mainly as a precaution,
- but when the first one was removed the seal was suspect and had let water into the bearing races, which were just starting to deteriorate.
- and one of the rear seals was leaking diff oil into / out past the hub.
This caused me some issues, as not having ever done hubs previously, or the parts to do the job properly at the time was frustrating (and I was going away shorty after this was meant to be done)
So plan well ahead, and make your own mind up about the bearings.
All said and done, replacing the bearings and seals gives me some piece of mind knowing that all that stuff is in top condition.
Plus I know how to overhaul my hubs now, if I need too!
Have since done some heavy city driving / braking, and I'm quite happy with the brake setup.
No Squealing at all... yet? Pulls up even better than the factory setup.
I'm going to keep an eye on the rotor wear rate with these pads.

Sounds like a good set up.
BTW I was going to replace all wheel bearings and seals also :D - I always do things over the top.

JC replaced my rears with DBA "slotted" rotors just before I left Tassie. The "Slotted" ones for the rear of the 110 are a solid disc but with radial grooves machined into the friction surface at an agnle to the centre line.
They work a treat. :D
When I do the front ones I'll not hesitate to purchase DBA vented discs, even vented n cross drilled if they are available.

they quoted me part numbers 086 and 549 - there is a bit of confusion on the rears as there is some cross over on the "Series 110" as DBA call it.

The best price I found 3 years back was from Penrith Clutch and Brake service on one of my visits to the big smoke.
I had no idea they used Brembo castings until I pulled them out of the box and it has Brembo and a part # etched into the periphery of the rotor.
It also has DBA and their pt. # too. :D

As yours is an 02 model, I'd check the rear disc rotor, the only way to be sure is to remove a wheel and measure the rotor as accurately as you can.
DBA 549 is 298mm diameter, 14mm thick
DBA 088 is 290mm diameter, 12.7mm thick
The 549, is what I had fitted, this is to a 99 TD5 Defender - but still with Sals rear.
I suspect yours may have the rover rear, and may take the DBA 088 rotors?

Mines one of the last D110's with a Salisbury rear end - so should be similar to yours.
I will check them over tonight and prob replace them all in the New Year.
