Has anyone tried them? They look like tough dog shocks but a different colour.I pulled the radius arms out of the fender to replace the bushes and the springs and shocks are u/s,I need the truck on the road and lovells springs were in stock and so are pedders shocks.I was going to get Koni's but there is a wait for them. Are pedders any good? I have Pedders on the rear of my 40mm spring lifted D2 and they are woeful. The rear of the car now handles very poorly on road. Not sure if they are foam filled and they are also slightly longer than normal (630mm eye to eye) so may be valved for another car but either way, i won't buy Pedders again.
I used to have standrad D2 height Bilsteins on the rear and they were, albeit slightly stiff, excellent at controlling the car on road. I changed to gain more droop from the rear but when i get round to finding the right length and valved Bilstein i'll propably fit these again to the rear.

    Hope this helps, Mick

I have them in the front of my Rangie and they seem OK. Been there for a couple of years now.

Don't know if they were foam cell but a guy who tagged along on a Canning stock route trip fitted peders shocks on the rear of an 80 series all leaked within 3000k,peders claimed vehicle was overload, his vehicle was the least loaded of all.
I've had foam cell tough dogs on a 78 series found them to be very good.

Pat, when I bought my first disco it had three different brands of shocks, 2 OME, 1 Monroe, 1 Pedders, all were stuffed, but the Pedder shock had something loose in side it and was full of water, waste of money in my books, see if there are any Bilstiens going cheap on eBay or the trading post, when they wear out you can get them rebuilt for the cost of a set of ordinary shocks

I agree with mick, have had mine on the D1 for 2 1/2 years, they seem to be holding up, but the ride is woeful too. bounces along the road like a lo-lux on bump stops. load her up with camping gear and trailer, their better but still very harsh.

Do what I did and get a set of Billies out of the US from shockwarehouse.com Half the price of just buying them in Australia inc the $120 US freight. Took a week and a half to get to Esperance, WA. They did quote up to 4 weeks though.
