Gotta agree with you there, back when i didnt know any better i put pedders springs and shocks in my old 2dr rangie, well they would be lucky if the shocks lasted 18 months springs were ok as luckily they were out of stock so gave me kings instead of their own. Have koni's in the last 2 landy's ( the same shocks) and after 6 1/2 years they are still good as the day i fitted them.

Pat, give Jeff at Proven Products, Albury a call. Nice bloke, good to deal with and can make specials if needed as he literally knows Koni's inside out.
Usually has them in stock, seeing as he's one of the two Oz importers.

Late in the thread and you have made your (wise) decision
I have seen these shocks break in a big way on Nissan Patrols

I've had pedders gear in other cars ( sedans etc) and have found them very good but their 4wd shocks are crap, the trak ryders are just rebadged gabriels which i put lower down the food chain than pedders own stuff.

I went to pick up my radius arm's today,I got new bushes fitted that is why I was at pedders and the guy got a mite annoyed that I didn't buy them,I could see his face changed after I said Koni's are going on and he had no time for me,that annoyed me so I'll go elsewhere from now on.One thing is they are a perfect match for tough dog shock's,even the stickers are the same,I know they are crap because I have had a set. Ha ha ha, Monroe, Make Tough Dog and Pedders. There are only 3 manufactures of Shocks in the US. Monroe, Gabriel and Ranchos. Australia only has Monroe.
Tough dog and Pedders have them made to there spec by Monroe.
They look the same because theyre made in the same factory. Tough dog use truck size shafts.
Please correct me if you have proof.

Hi Pat, I got the same sort of reaction here once.
I rang and asked if they can source Bilstein and Koni etc and the reply was, 'Why do you want to buy that euro crap, when ours are better?'
(This was some years ago and I had only recently moved here, trying to sus out the suppliers etc...)

NEVER dealt with them again after that 1 comment.
