    Standard Suspension Height.

    Does anyone have measuremements for the ride height of a standard, unmolested range rover classic?
    I'm looking for something like axle centre to top of wheel arch measurements.

    there is an Oz Federal Trans Dept website that lists all that data for current cars, but doubt it would go back to a RRC. I'll try and dig it up.

    The other alternative, but will require an international call to the mainland is Andrew at Les Richmond Automotive as I'd bet he'd have an axle to bump stop height measurement as all their lifts are determined this way.

    I've just put a standard set up back in my RRC. Front bumpstop measurement about 50mm, rear about 75-80. Measurement front and rear from mid axle to guard is 450mm.

    There is a standard bumpstop measurement in a thread somewhere for a Disco1. I'd think a Rangie Classic would be the same.

    As Rick said Andrew will be able to tell you....It is written in one of his catalogue's but i cant find my copy.

    From memory bumpstop clearance on the front is 2" to 2.5"
    and the rear is 3 to 3.5"

    I just found what I was referring to in my diary.

    It was quoted as being 2.5in so I make that 63.5mm. The poster didn't differentiate between front and rear.

    Excellent, thanks.
    My RRC measures 475mm, so I'm only about 1" above stock.

    For a P38A, they use setting blocks (I have a set):

    I was given these genuine LR height setting gauges a week or so ago:

    and the dimensions and drawing for this item is at:

    Sorry I don't have a CAD program.

    PS there is an error in the drawing. The 30mm section is the next bit down. I'll fix it tomorrow. Sorry - and thanks to Hoges for noticing it ops:

    Had to ask on these specs

    Yep ...still chasing vibration ..It's got down to the front "Prop shaft"
    So I am taking it off (again) & sending it in tomorrow for a checkup

    I measured my car (RRC 90) center of wheel to top wheel arch

    Front = 480mm
    Rear = 500mm

    Front bump stop clearance .. approx 80mm

    Are these OK? and wont contribute to front prop shaft vibration ??

    Mike
