    mounting arb compressor

Hay All, I have purchased a second hand ARB compressor its not 12 months old yet) but its not the latest one. Any way my question is does it have to be mounted up right or can it be flat on its side? I would like to mount it under the back seat on my 130. It that box. Where have other people mounted them on 130s?

    Thanks Jim

mine is the old school one you have aswell, i have it mounted on the side for a few years now. i made up a angle piece of checkeplat and mounted it just behind the brake master cylinder in the engine bay. i have had to replace the inlet plunger but i don't think that was the mounting just old age on the compressor. they are a good little unit, fully sreviceable and easy to do yourself.
i am away from home till january so can't post a picture till then.

Got any pics of the tank? I was going to use that space for a water tank but i was going to get one polly welded up.

I ended up mounting the compressor behind the brake booster, in between it and the d/s guard. Fits beaut. Thanks for the sujestion.
