Thread: Fuel Pump

Hi All
I have just replaced the fuel pump in the Disco and what a difference it now goes like it use too. I have found two things wrong with the old one.
1 One of the springs that holds the pump to the base of the tank is missing.
2 The fine gauze filter at the base of the pump itself was clogged.

Now has anyone got an old fuel pump casing that i can get a spring from and can i remove the fine filter at the base of the pump and rely on the inline filter to get the fine particles out.
