    Exhaust Shop ?

    Hey Guys,

    I've been thinking about putting a new custom exhaust on the disco for a while now and just wanted to know if anyone here reccomends a good shop around the Dandenong/Breaside/Frankston area ??

    Also i think i already know the answer to this but just how illegal is it to remove the cats or hollow them out ?

    Also anyone here have a new exhaust fitted lately ?? what would you suggest as far as mufflers go... 1 - 2 ? i don't mind the low rumble for highway drivning so long as it doesn't drone......

    NJZ has just had a new exhaust fitted which sounds absolutely fantastic. Magnaflow with middle muffler and hotdog at the back end. Definitely louder inside and out of vehicle but accentuates the fine sound of the V8. I'd be doing it if I had a V8.

    Hopefully Nikolai sees this thread and provides further.

    Yeah, like he said.

    2.5" from the y-pipes back with a Magnaflow centre and a little hotdog at the back. It now sounds like a worked motor. The V8 really likes the bigger exhaust. It was like it had asthma before.

    I got it done by Jamie at All Ranges 4wd in Bayswater.

    I had my D2 V8 done earlier this year.

    2.5 all the way, extractors, high flow cats and muffler. I would also suggest putting a small hotdog at the back where the resonator sits now. Without it it is just really annoying.

    Cost me $1100 fully fitted

    Work done by ACE exhaust in Croydon....who I do recommend.

    Performance Exhausts in New Street Ringwood have done 4 RR/Disco V8s from our family over 6 years.

    Very good workmanship, good guarantee, reasonable prices.

    Mmmm.

    I had always used performance exhaust before as well, but when I priced an exhaust for the D2 they were $700 more expensive.

    Now I am sure that the quality of extractors they quoted was better but the ones I got from ACE were just fine.
