    Angry SLS- Dropped TD5 continued

    Hi guys,
If an airspring was leaking wouldn't it go down all the time?
My D2 TD5 SLS drops once every 10 days or so. I've had it up in OR mode
and it will hold it all night.
I'm suspecting a leak somewhere, but how to find/fix it without the stealer
Robbing me blind. How do I get the air out first before checking/cleaning the connections/valves?

    Cheers
    Nicky

Make yourself a soapy solution in a spray bottle & go over all the hoses/connections.
The leak will soon be apparent.

That's what the dealer does .

    fibber he does not...

he uses landrover special tool #liquid priceenhancer which is a soaponificating miniscus film forming fluid. He applies that liberally to all the "component - conductor" interfacing points and inspects for "miasmatic medium loss" at these locations.

should he find such loss he then applies "oscilatory motion" untill the "miasmatic loss" is corrected. In sever situations he might even apply "density enhanced coheasion forming coagulant". If he is unsucessful in this endevour he will apply the tried and trusted dealer fault finding technique of "epensious randominaum bitsia replacia".

    that usually fixes it.

The air filter/intake for the SLS is behind the passenger side upper tail light. Is the whole back dropping or just one side?

    Thanks Brad,
    Both sides drop symmetrically.

sometimes a leaking airbag gives that sympton it leaks around the base but the way it sits around the base can seal in the leak, one of my air bags had a tear around the base would only loose the air if the bag was extended

Are you sure you're not a service advisor ?

All you need to do is sound like you know what you're on about & customers believe anything you say !!
