    Dobinson coils and shocks

Just wondering if anyone has used Dobinson coils and/or shocks and how have you found them. I am waiting on replies to spring specifications but thought I'd ask you guys. I am after a replacement set for my Lovells which I will be refunded due to excessive sagging. Vehicle is a V8 D1.

Had the Dobinson coils in the back of my '88 Paj - very good they were too - they didn't make shocks to suit so can't comment on those. A mate very happy with the combo in his GU...but would stick to King's and Koni's for a Disco...

I've had a set of Dobs on my D1 for the past three years and can't say enough about them...very happy with the performance.
I have excess 150kg up front and 250kg at the rear...despite all of the heavy gear I carry there are no signs of sagging yet...& I drive hard and fast when off road!
My truck is 450 kg over weight...but still the car handles well considering.

Dobinson make their own springs and out source their shocks. Glen is very helpfull and can configure a spring rating to your specific requirements.

    I rate there products highly.

Thanks for the info guys. As said, I am still waiting on some specification info, but will hold them in good stead if the specs are agreeable.

I went with dobinsons springs and shocks. All good so far, very little body roll.

The shocks were a lot bigger than what I previously had.

Cost under $800 for the lot. A set of konis cost more than that.

I have Dobinson springs under my disco and very happy with them, with Bilstein shocks although the Bilsteins are a bit mushy in the rear. Have heard good reports on the Dobinson shocks and correct me if I am wrong but I seem to recall someone telling me they are rebadged DeCarbons???? But I don't know whether this is the case or not, does anyone know????. But you should definately be happy with the quality of the springs

Koni's cost more than that because they are the best shock you can buy for an LR.I have had almost all of them and koni's are my first choice. Pat
