Thread: Disco 2 Hot Fuel or Elect ??

My 99 Disco 2 V8 Auto has a problem on hot (>35 deg C) days.
When running low revs or while stopped in sun the heat buildup seems to cause missfire - the hotter the day the worse the prob - 42 deg C = not enuf power to select gear.

Temp guage seems normal and no other signs of head gasket prob.

Noticed fuel pump hums after stopping on those days also ??

If the engine missfires at all,, a log will be kept and
you can (pay) get it printed at your local dealer,,

no warning lights?
nice red coolant?
no pinging?
