slugish pickup - Rear Fuel Pump
I complained that the disco did good milage but was a bit slow on the take off.
So I did a little investigation. It would appear that the fuel pump was not keeping the pressure up to the system. 99 Disco replacement pump $611.00 - 3 stubbies to remove floor mat and install new one. Easy as and I get a new faster version of the old disco. So if you feel a bit slugish you may need a new pump. The sound mad me look at the rear of the Disco -- When you turn the key on you can hear a cat being electricuted behing the back wheel just before the starter kicks in. Hope this helps
