is the cab back/roof section different between them, if so, are they interchangeable?

The rear window mounting is entirely different as is the shape. I'm looking of r a Defender rear window for a friend's Disco-to-ute conversion.

The roof is not interchangeable due to the higher windscreen on the 90/110/Defender. The cab back section is different but interchangeable - the window is quite different, but the dimensions and attachment points of the overall cab back are the same.

He wouldn't spoil a Disco ute with a Defender cab would he? There is a 120" Disco trayback in Victoria which is great. He used the rear corners from Mazda bravo or something and just made it wider. The door profile is almost identical to the Disco door profile.

You won't find me on: faceplant; Scipe; Infragam; LumpedIn; ShapCnat or Twitting. I'm just not that interesting.

yes, they bolt on with a square cornered rear window instead of round. I'd recomend a series 3 one with propper searbelt mounts, not just a bolt through from the outside like some earlier ones.

No, he just wants the window assembly.

I saw the pics of the Disco to which you refer on this forum last year.

It is even better IRL - saw it a Mockinya (Horsham) a couple of years ago and that is one Land Rover that should have gone into production.

Calling Lawrence - more ideas for you!

BTW Why doesn't he take a run up to Hilton Pollard's he has heaps of windows like that.

So you are putting a defender cab on a series?
If its the other way around, I am in the process of doing it.
Just a case of matching up the roof, but I am also using a series body/bulkhead.
