My D110 has 255 / 85 x 16 BFG MTs on Disco rims - LR dealer LOVES it!!!
The 33-34" tyre gives perfect gearing on the TD5 in my humble opinion.

G'day All
Couple of things:
Have a 06 TD5 Defender - looking to fit larger tyres.
1. Can l get a 255/75R16 BFG Mud on the standard Defender alloy wheel? (think this is the most pop size)
2. Do l need to life the thing for this tyre? If aso how high?
3. Will LR crack it over warranty?? (ir prop shafts, Uni's etc)??

That tyre size will not cause an issue regarding warranty claims as it's actually slightly smaller in diameter than the original 235/85/16 tyre.

Will l get 255/85R16 BF muds on the factory alloys on the Defender ("Boost" l think they are called) without a lift either?
Will a lift affect Warranty????

I thought you meant 255 / 85 x 16 then I saw Scouse' post
Yes they will fit on the Boost rims - Noddy and GreyLandy both have this, but I do recommend getting rims with a bigger offset to get some steering lock back.
As for lift as far as I am aware Noddy / GreyLandy / Me all have standard rear coils and slightly heavier front coils - mine are actually D130 HD LR parts.
With Standard Boost rims you should be fine and no lift needed - just depends on what weight your carrying.

It can do.
Normally, a mild lift (50mm) is not an issue but if it can be proven that the lift has caused the problem, then LR will have cause to reject the repair claim.
Saying that, a small suspension lift should not affect any driveline claim other than propshafts. Do not take this as gospel though, this is just my opinion/experience.
