I have an moisture/oil trap on my outlet but still find it blows a lot of oil at higher revs which the oil trap cant cope with. Most of this oil is probably residual compressor oil and not I suspect from the in line oiler. The inline oiler is probably sufficient to lube the compresser - so it might be worth draining the compressor before installing it.

Anyway, the inside of my rims arent going to rust.......

I currently have an onboard air setup inder my 300TDI which I have been testing for the past 6months. Hopefully the link below works and you can see the setup. Can't remember if the photos show the old guard but any the sytem is fully guarded. Alum tank has been replaced by RR air suspension tank and is closer to the floor.

This system has also been adapted and successfully fitted to Defender 300TDI. There is a post in the defender section of the forum.

Next project Disco and Defender TD5

Hopefully the link to my previous post work

Here are some results from the system which I have documented

    20 PSI to 45PSI tyre size is 245 70 R16.

Times to inflate 4 tyres as follows using 70-120 PSI pressure switch
    8CFM 240 volts compressor 5min 30sec

5.6CFM motor driven compressor running at 700RPM at crankshaft or 1188 actual compressor RPM 6min 10sec

Shell service station with preset type gauge 5mins

5.6CFM motor driven compressor running at 1000RPM at crankshaft or 1697 RPM actual compressor 5min 35sec

5.6CFM motor driven compressor running at 1500RPM at crankshaft or 2545 RPM actual compressor 5min 10sec

    12V compressor with flow rate of 1.7CFM at 0 PSI 15min 30secs
