130 owners how do I move the seat to access storage ?

How do I move the rear seat so I can get into the storage locker under it ?

The rear of the seat seems to be bolted down, and there are stays holding the side of the seat near the top, to the rear of the cab.

It's not broken. It's "Carbon Neutral".

Outside of the back seats should have stays with two screws or something. Mine never had the screws.

Undo the screws and the seats tip forwards.

I think I have a bunch of stuff stored in that cubby box, but it's such a pain to get in there with the baby seats that I never look.

They'd be great if there was access that didn't involve shifting the seats.

    Cheers

I got a couple of high tensile bolts with big plastic knoby ends you can grab easly. Add a couple of big flat washers to spread the weight and its now easyer to unscrew the angle bracket from the bulkhead.
I only use the small seat side to access the C130 hanger sized storage space underneth.

You mean it's not supposed to be easy?
I have a drawer that takes up half the space. My seats also have easy release straps so you can just fold the seat out of the way to upen the top.

With mine the rear seat backs just fold down and then the whole seats folds up again against the back of the front seats. That is how it was when I got it. I don' have any bolts to undo. Should I?

The seat backs are fixed to the back bulkhead with a metal bracket, one each side.If they werent fixed they would move forward with every sudden brake, cutting the passenger in half with the seat belt.
The metal bracket is attached to the side of the seat frame with a couple of captive nuts, a right ------ to undo and put back evry time.
So I just matched up the thread, found a HT bolt with a plastic nob on the end ( look at boat canopies ) added a large flat mud guard washer to spread the weight.
Its easyer to release the seat at the bulk head and refasten it this way.
Sorry no photos, we have been pushed back a 1000 years ( stuck on dial up )

Thats the best photo I have handy
I just undone the brackets on the side of the seats so they can tip over forward.
    I have not refitted them.
The best access is via the single seat on the passengers side.
I have also made the bottom legs pivot pins removeable with a quick release safety pin so the seats can be completely removed in seconds.
When camping by my self I sleep in the HCPU body and with the seats removed the fridge is only a door away from access and can be locked in the cabin to keep my mates out of the fridge.
Some times I keep the larger seat in if I know I could be carrying a extra person or two.
With the seats removed my chain saw and generator boxes fit nicely on the drivers side opposite side from the fridge........so easy to lock up as my HCPU has a rag top.

    Have a look here.
    Baby seat in a defender

Not exactly what you want, but it is the back seats.

    Cheers
