Sounds very feasible. RF energy can do wonders to sensitive electronics. A friend of mine had a Mercedes and every time he went past Radio Australia that put out a couple of hundred kilowatts the car would begin to sputter and engine light would come on and it would go into limp mode! Be interesting to know the frequency that it is happening on. I would say the FM transmitter is also sending out some spurious noise as well and wont be a perfect signal on the FM Radio band, maybe a harmonic is getting into the wiring for the BCU. Would love to find out some more about it. I am looking at fitting my ham radio gear to my disco soon and I hope some of the freq I transmit on dont play havok with the BCU or ECU for that matter as I can transmit a lot more than a 5W CB radio![]()
