ARB difflock compressor
Snappy Question can you lay a diff locker compressor on its side. Ie to fit under the front passengers seat or must it stay upright. Have a dual battery setup in the disco and space is a premium. Wish to fit after market fuel
filter for second tank next to the brake booster where the compressor is fitted at the moment. Ta BAz

From basic logic I would say no, as the oil in the compressor would be pumped out.
Unless of course it's an oil-less compressor - and they are few and far between

I'm pretty sure the ARB is oiless and it can be layed over.

The ARB compressor for the difflocks is mounted under the drivers seat in my D2.
I am not sure if it is on its side though as I haven't taken that much notice.
Will have a look later once it is light.

Yes you can lay it on it's side, you can also get the small lockers only compressor that will fit just about anywhere.
I've got a Max air under my passenger seat so the ARB will easily fit size wise.

My D2 has the compressor under driver seat, on its side as fitted by ARB when they owned the old bus.
