Thread: td5 injector leaks

simple...

park rover, go buy new seals and about 30 injector lifting tool
remove bonnet (the number of times Ive bumped one closed on me while working crouched over the engine while perched on the wing... never happend with the spare on the bonnet ( just gouged my back on the securing bolts))
remove acousitc covering and throw it away.
remove rocker cover.
remove rocker gear.

pry out the injector
snap the lifting tool
get another one
pry out injector
snap lifting tool
think about welding a rebar to the top of the injector and hooking it up to a crane
get another lifting tool ,swear at it
get injector out
prise off seals (carefully very very carefully)
install new seals
install injector
secure injector
mark with paint pen or texta marker

repeat for the rest of the injectors (except for removeing the bonnet, the acoustic covers, the rocker cover you only have one of themn have already removed them and the rockers should all come out at once)

then put the rest of the stuff back on the engine. (except the acoustic covers they should be in the bin by now)

You dont happen to have the part numbers of the seals do you?

Scarry, a run away is where it starts to run on the contaminated oily / diesel mix. Difficult to stop.
