I got a quote for one of these $15k :oand I can buy a D2 TD5 complete for the same money, then chip it for more power:D
Defenders don't have most of this rubbish So why would I have to sort it out for a D1? and forgive my dumbness but what is SLABs and BCU. Speedo runs from gear box so no hassle as I want to keep this and even though my car has SRS it is not linked to the motor.Quote:

If you can put a big chunk of cast iron V8 under the bonet why not a Landie up date motor? Besides the V8 would be to heavy and again not a lot of power for the out lay (again quote from the mob in Gympie $20k "maybe more" his words)
I am thinking of the Intercooler and exhaust, hummed and hared over the LPG but I haven't really thought about the turbo. But add these up and it is a lot of money for a small increase in power.
Utemad, you are correct about the lockers, but you know my car and a D2 would cost alot to get to where I currently am. As for the 130, sure I buy it and then I put in one of Jessies V8's he has 5 to choose from:D
