    Suspension Lift for a defender

Hey everyone my fender has some serious sagging in the front end and i am thinking about getting new springs for it but i have herd that Defenders can develop some noise from the front prop-shaft ?? or something like that ?? if lifted to high. Can anybody explain what this is about ??
Also does anybody have any suggestions on what Springs to get ?? (I have no clue)
    Thanks
    Adrian

Get Genuine Heavy Duty 110 front coils

it will lift it about 45mm over std even if you have an arb bar on it..

Where are you so i can put you onto a place for them??

NRC9448 and NRC9449 for the front springs.

what springs are in it now ?
Mine already had those listed above, (colour codes are blue/red and yellow/white) so I used Rangie Spares 'Purple' springs. 220lb/in, 17"free length. Gives you a good 45mm more than the stock HD springs.
It's dropped a little after 6 years, but the bump stop measurements are still above 100mm per side.

Will the standard shocks be ok with the lift or do you need longer ones?

Gday Everyone thanks for the replys.. the current springs are just the standard ones and due to the Bullbar and winch are very low. i have been told that if i get a 2inch lift it will just sit level ?? i would have thought it would have sat high after a 2 inch ??
    Thanks

I won't enter into the spring debate as I don't know, but the problem that can occur if you lift it more than two inches is that the universal joint on the front drive flange of the transfer case has to run at an increased angle and it doesn't like it, it will cause vibration and will have a reduced life expectancy.
On top of that you get all kinds of issues with steering geometry as well as the whole front axle will move off centre, the higher you go the more off centre. All the geometry issues can be overcome with a blank cheque but the universal joint issue cannot. Unless Thompson couplings make a suitable unit but that would be a long way off.
