I'm still a bit confused with all this suspension stuff for the sls + ACE model Disco I have (and ran a similar thread recently with some helpful responses).
Some online retailers offer a few options and I cant figure out which shocks I should be getting - in terms of spec and whether they are compatible, etc.
So can anyone tell me whether replacing the front OE springs with King springs (standard height) and all 4 OE shocks with Lovells or Bilstein shocks is "recommended" or possible even? I dont want to touch the rear sls or raise the height at all.
This is one online retailer example, but there is a separate section on the left hand side of their website for air spring Disco II's with only Bilstein shocks available for $700 (normally they are $850)????

"They " say up to two inches and the standard shocks (and other things like cables) will be fine.
There ARE over-length airbags available for the D2, and re-calibration of the SLS is possible.
I didnt read the first post,, is there a front end weight problem?
Those that should know have revalved Bilstiens,, and the pressures are posted on site, just need to search for them.
LOTS of advice/posts on shockies/springs hereabouts.
