Try white pepper. A bloke I know who used to run taxis used it as a temp fix.
It shouldnt harm anything.
Will This stuff cause any harm to an engine? One of the oil cooler bolts on my Isuzu 4BB1 has started to weep a bit of coolant, and of course it has to be one that is behind the injector pumpJust need a temporary fix that can stop the leak for a few months until i can get a chance to remove the cooler.
Cheers
Paul

Try Barsleaks; it won't block the cooling system, just the leaks and it can be left in the system idefinitely as it is also a corrosion inhibitor.
I've had good results with Bars Leaks on my P38A heater matrix.

Hi Ron, how much coolant was leaking before you used the barsleak?
My heater lines have been bypassed and I would love to reconnect them before winter (too cold up here not to have a heater!), but don't really want to replace the heater core just yet if I don't have to ($$$$$?)
Thought I might just reconnect and run barsleak if that stops most leaking
Chemiweld, love the stuff, silversol from repco is good too
chemiweld
A bit of a story
Many moons ago I restored a suzuki 4x4 with the little 550 2 stroke in it, well on its first run the water poured out of the block (the previous owner had put 15 303 bullets into it), it had a crack in the block about 4 inches long. Could not find a block cheap at the time so put a bottle of chemiweld in it. Left a white stain on the side of the block where it started to come out before sealing. I had the vehicle for a further 2 years and seen it again 3 years later, same block, same stain and still going.
cheers

Just emptied and flushed the cooling system + reconnected the heater matrix = Wet carpet in passenger side footwell![]()
I've put barsleak radiator flush in the water and given it a good run out of town. Can't quite work out why I'm not seeing a drop in the coolant level
Any suggestions on how long to leave the cleaning additive/water mix in before emptying again and filling with coolant and barsleak leak sealer?
I ended up putting some of the stuff into the Landy before i drove to work today. Could not see any coolant weeping out of the bolt anymore once i got home this arvo.![]()
