Dont think you can just have a T piece there because its a T with one extra outlet IE not a T piece. Id like to put a metal one in there to replace the plastic one.
Is it actually the connector, or the hose that is leaking?
Hi
On the defender there is a 3 way thingy just below the header tank. What is it? Does it need to be there? The reason I ask is that it is leaking do I replace it or just put a "T" piece in?
Could this cause overheating?
Regards

isnt it a one way valve to allow pressure to equalise between thermo housing and radiator valved to equalise with the resevoir/header?

Perhaps. I might be thinking of the wrong piece.
Apparently, it is designed to remove bubbles of air, from the coolant to the header tank.
