I'm with Lewy on this one, if by tightened the steering box you mean adjusted.

I gave my steering box a quick adjustment tweak and took it for a run, result ---> no self centering. It's so easy to over-do. I quickly returned home and did it properly by jacking the front wheels off the ground and using an assistant.

Your both right.The worm binds on the shaft because it is too tight.It is very very easy to do.1/4 turn is all that is in it. Pat

Last thing to do is buy a self centering steering stabiliser.

Do you have enough preload on the swivels?
