Sway Bars on New Defender
HI! Just had my new Defender delivered today! Had to get straight under it and have a good look around. I have noticed sway bars there (both front and back). My 2003 Defender did not have them and so I just wonder if they have to be there and if not, then how much difference removing them makes, to both on road and off road performance?
Also does anyone know where in Melbourne i can get some solid undercariage protection (skid plates, diff guards, etc) for the new Defender.
Thanks for your assistance!

Well I was a bit unsure about the sway bars initially, but I changed my mind going around the first round-about. The small loss of off-road articulation is more than made up for by the vehicle not feeling like a boat on the road.

It is a shocker with the sway bars disconnected. I would say quite a bit worse then the older models which did not have them at all.

My 2001 130 has a rear sway bar. Means I lift the rear easily but it handles very well with or without a load.
