    Smile Brake Pads

    Hi All,

about to replace the Brake Pads on the TD5 series 2 Disco.

Is there an after market brake pad to go for or should I put in the dearer genuine pads and minimise the risk of 3 amigo light issues ?

    Advice appreciated.
    Cheers

    I'd advise the genuine pads.
The D2 wheel speed sensors are sensitive enough as it is with out trying to tempt fate.

EBC historically are quiet and don't trigger the 3 amigos.

Genuine not to bad basically with the cost of one end I can get both ends with after market.

Overall its not a lot of money so I will probably go genuine unless soe one has a good suggestion.

I had this problem happen to today, Put after market pads on the disco 2 about a month ago and the bloody 3 lights decided to come on today.
Looks like ill be buying original parts this time.
Does anyone know if once i replace the disc and pads, do i have to get anything reset to get the lights to go out, or do they go out once new gear is fitted.
The lights that have come on are the ABS / TC / Down hill D .
Will it do any damage if you keep driving while these lights are on.

I have been having the bells whistles and lights flashing for a few months now. I cleaned the contacts under the gaurds ect, still doing it.
Replaced badly worn front rotors this morning. Problem fixed. Foward, reverse, full lock left and right with the steering wheel lights are not coming on.
