    Angry damaged diesel cooler

Had to change the diesel fuel regulator on my td5 today. Was not paying attention and bent the tube on the diesel cooler where the hose from the regulator is connected.

Due to that, diesel is now pumping out where the tube is connected to the cooler.

Does anybody know if I can repair this by re-soldering the tube to the cooler? Or do I have to change the diesel cooler unit?

Otherwise, my day was pretty good...

    Cheers,
    Daniel

What metal is the cooler made from - sorry I have never 'played' with one - but if its base metals and not aliminium then you should be able to re-braze it (notice braze not solder) - but if its aluminum then a specialist welder MAY be able to do it
