    Question for Ashtrans or anyone else

    I was going to buy a Rover 4 Pinion diff to put in the front of my old Stage 1 V8, Found one thought it was a D90 rear do discover it was a P38 4 Pinion.
    Are these any good or are they evil I thought I had heard bad things.

    Any advice appreciated

    p38 diffs IMHO arent that bad, stronger than a stock rover diff (but then so is anything made of anything more substantial than warm butter) and its the axles that let them down. (big reds got em and Im pretty much certain that its done stuff that the engineers hadnt thought a rover should be doing)

    not as good as a sals or a ford 9 inch for example and can still benifit from some mods.

    I don't think the P38 diff will go into the rover housing unless you grind it out I suppose. The CW and hemisphere flange wont go through the slot in the axle housing.

    It's also a 24 spline, where your current diff is 10 spline.

    Slunnie I dont have an issue with Axles I will just use 24 spline Maxis
