    Hazard lights- RWC requirement?

    Hi Guys,
I'm having probs with the project County wiring.
The best result I can get is perfect trafficators, parkers, stop & indicators, but the hazards come on & stay on- no blinking & I cant find the fault, or even the flash can.
I looked thru the ADR's to see what year they became mandatory & there's no mention of them at all, even as an optional light, or for new cars. .
    Can anyone confirm this?
It appears you dont have to have them at all??.

    Thanks,
    David

If you cab't find the flash unit caould you fit another one?

Not sure, but I believe it was some time in the seventies - I know they were fitted to my father's 1975 Citroen but not my 1974 model (and they were not factory fitted, but fitted to comply with local regulations in Vic).

I can't see that replacing his laugh will help!

    The switch will be enough.

If they came out in your vehicle in Australia they must work regardless of year of manufacture as with every thing else on the car. Breaches traffic code if they do not. Not that most would even know.
