same as pat303 after haveing many vehicles on lpgcould never find an acurate guage. dont think there are any baffles in the gas tank so hard to get an accurate reading .after every fillup we go 350k & then u know its time to fill up

Look here, you'll see a colomn on the right of the box's saying axium sender, I';m tipping that's the appropriate sender to suit the fuel gauge, the clencher is when it mentions that the is no interface for XD E F as these use a capacitive type sender, not resistive

My gauge seems accurate when it is working.
My tank is baffled in a way. It is the manifold tank on the floor in the back of the Disco. Meant to be under the floor in a Falcon wagon.

Get a seperate LPG gauge,at least you know what both tanks have in store at a glance.
And yes VDO do a LPG spec gauge I fitted one in my last Ser3.
If you open the inspection cover on the LPG tank there should be a gauge there if you need to chech a converted gauges accuraccy.

    I'll look into that.

I've had that out. Been playing with it with a magnet.

The closest I can find in that APA list is 282-40 ohms.
Since the factory one is 245-19 ohms that is probably close enough. It means it will register full for longer than it should and the empty warning light won't work but it's not bad.
I wonder if I could put a resistor in parallel to drop the range slightly?

Thanks gents. Will be ringing around tomorrow.

Use the superscript notation ^2 for a power of 2 or the subscript notation base-2... 2 easy

    Even better
    PARALLEL RESISTOR CALCULATOR

So a 1.9k resistor will bring it down from 282-40 to 245-39.
    That's pretty close to 245-19.

I think the needle is about sitting on empty before the light comes on which is at 25.
