    89 Rangie

    Wondering what auto would be in an 89 Rangie and would it's 3.9 be efi or carb.Are there any reasons too stay away from this model or to go for it.Any info would be appreciated. Cheers Brett

    would be a ZF, 4speed ,

    would have the old type flapper EFI (I think) solid injection system.

    nothing wrong with the 89 good old bus

    3.5 Flapper, ZF auto and BW VC Tx case

    Z4hp22 and bloody B/W Transfer Lt320 enjoyed in mid 80's is popular. Early 89 are 3.5(gutless) and late were 3.9(Improved) Both were Efi. In some opinions they are one of the best Rangies made. Windows and doors can get playfull. They are non srs so can be body lifted etc.

    Viscous Coupling Its a crap heat sensitive thing that wields its self up and then stuffs the cvs etc.
