    R380 oil cooler part number.

Chasing my tail here in the USA. I need the part number of the oil cooler adaptor that bolts to the side of the box that I can connect lines to for the oil cooler.Where can I get one. The Dealers here have no clue. Will the towbar set up from the Disco 2 fit the Disco 1.

    Thanks. Jerry

Ashcroft Transmission in the UK used to advertise the manual transmission kit on their web site, but I don't see it there now.

According to the EPC (Electronic parts catalog) the part is called the 'Housing - transmission thermostat, V8, aircooled. FTC 2687. (Which is a little strange as there isn't a thermostat in the r380)

Here's a pic from the thread ' R380 gearbox cooler fittings'

It seems that all the v8's had them, both the R380 and the LT77. Our British cousins term a wrecker as 'breaker', so there are a fair number of land rover breakers online. I'd suggest trying for the complete setup, as it's probably easier to fit in the long run.

Can't advise about the towbar - I know it looks close but you never know until you try it.
