Slacken off the belts and turn the pulleys by hand, you should feel which one has a stuffed bearing.![]()
Well my first move is I found the noise to be on the (looking at the motor from the front ) left hand side . So i unbolted the idler which tensions the left side and took it off . It turned out to be first time lucky as it was this one that is shagged. Rang around town looking for a bearing to replace it and they have to be ordered in
. So I jammed it full of grease and put it back in and hoping for it to last the weekend . Bring on monday

regarding recycling bearings.
Clean them out thoroughly before repacking and, provided you caught them early enough, you should get heaps more life out of them.

6203 is the bearing, shouldn't be hard to get, even get them from an autoelec.
