Boge leveller replacement, D3 strut?
I have been thinking about replacing the boge leveller on the county with something else. I saw the thread about D3 shock absorbers and though if you got one with a dead shocky and put it in place of the strut it could work. The air bag allowing load levelling. Now I don't know much about the D3 strut and if, the crucial part, old ones could be cheap to get. Do they have to replace the whole thing when the shocky inside wears out (i don't need any shock absorbing).
I haven't done any investigation into the lenghts and strokes required, but if any one knows, either for the boge or the D3 strut let me know.
It would need to carry up to about 800kg so a d3 strut should be up to that.
Maybe there is other vehicles that have a suitable air strut?
Does anyone know what load a monroe gas riser shock can carry?
As you can tell i am just looking for info at the moment.
Cheers.
