Fitting an Engine Saver coolant alarm in a D2 TD5

    2004 D2 TD5
I've just received an "Engine Saver" Low Water Alarm from David. Well packaged and looks good. It has the new Sensor Plug that replaces the potentially failure prone plastic air drain valve, and therefore saves cutting the radiator hose, and only takes a few seconds to fit.
    Question.
What is the easiest way to feed the cable through the firewall? Will it fit through one of the existing cable grommets? They are both fully taped and surrounded by thick sound insulation.
Where is the easiest pace to pick up a switched and fused 12 volt power supply?
I then just have to find a neat location for LED

    Many thanks

    Greg

On the firewall top right drivers side next to the master cylinder behind the sound proofing is a large grommet, feed it through there.

    Baz,
    Cheers Baz.

look at where the big loom goes thru the firewall drivers side top. there are a couple of rubber 'nipple's on the moulding that are spare just snip one and pop the wire thru.

plenty of places to tap into various circuits under the steering wheel e.g. cig lighter etc

I have added additional cabling same as JWB says alongside the radio aerial wire. Cheers, Erich.
