After that ... can you let us know your location ...... for the suspension
If your in Perth .. it may be more sand than mud tyres your after
If your in the East .. it'l be mud

Also ... having the rear higher than the front .. I recon is a good setup .. as it helps "positive wheel (steering) direction" and when you drop a load in the back it will level out ... rather than dragging it's tail

Aftermarket coils will be firmer than genuine – even the softest ones. So if you really like the on road ride that it’s something to think about.

hi nobby, welcome. i'm pretty new here too. i'm from the sth suburbs of adelaide, i have an 02 td5 disco. same story- no cdl internals.

we're(my bro too) heading to the flinders next weekend and ive been looking into tyres too. ive settled on the bridgestone d694lt in a 245/70(235/70 is stock). these tyres got a good rep for road and sand, and were ok for mud. and apparently/hopefully, they're very puncture resistant.

well if ur ever up this way and wanna see some of the local spots(theres like 2 or 3 ) i'm always keen to go out for a drive. enjoy the disco. i love mine.

for what its worth, mine has been raised/stiffened and for onroad ride/handling its great. offroad the front is a bit too stiff and so doesnt 'flex' enough and the rear a bit too bouncy in the sandy whoops.

I take it that just want to improve it ... Not go the whole hog???

If it's Sand then A/T is all you will need
something on the 265 / 285 side of life ....you want "width" & side wall flex

For rocks .... plenty of side wall strength

Mine is a RRC model and i run 265/70/15 with just a 2" rear spring lift and standard front
This tyre height matches my original Overall tyre height ... so no speedo being out


All the spoiler gear is removed at the front (courtisy of the sand dunes ... Riiiiip) and i have no side steps .. so ride hieght & approach over the dunes is good

For rocks boulders stumps mud and QLD roads .... I need more height & different tyres


The 2" rear spring lift helps clearance and gives it that wedge look .... instead of level

Oh.. as mentioned before .... be aware that aftermarket springs have different strengths and can give you a bumpy ride instead of the classic L/R smooth ... SO ASK how soft / hard is the ride gonna be

Hi, the suspension issue as far as a lift goes is from what to what - from a sagged suspension or ..... A simple example when I installed an ARB bar with10,000lb warn ( 85kgs ) on my TD5 Disco the front went down 65mm. I went to a suspension place in Minto (Western Sydney) and they calculated what I needed to get back to standard - but I went for a 2 inch lift above that - exactly what I got. This was about 4 years ago and the springs and shocks are still good - had them checked only last week. What I am trying to say is that I wouldn't just buy springs for a lift without getting advice from at least 1 suspension or Land Rover mob first. Cheers, Erich.
